ROAD TO GLENORE.
(To the Editor.) Sin,— I notice, in your publication of the 25th inst. a local commenting upon the neglectful state in which a certain deviation of the public road, near Mr. Thomas Murray's, Glenore, has been left. This diversion, as as you are doubtless aware, has been necessitated by the railway lino. Now, sir, allow me to acquaint your informant that when the railway interferes with the Tuapeka road, the latter, hits always to be left in a condition at least equal to that in which it was found ; and should that surmising gentleman again visit that road alteration he will upon scrutiny doubtless see that the 'road, instead of being " made up with clay " will on completion, be far sup^rier, both from position and formation, to what it originally was. In couclusion, sir, permit me to call your attention to the two vast improvements in the way of road diversions, the railway has brought about, the one on entering, and the other leaving, Manuka Creek Flat. — I am, &c, . 15.
