(From our mm Correspondent.) lujnbbin-, March 2oth. The sale by the Provincial Government of the lease of tolls in the Province from Ist April next to Ist April, 1875, took place to-day. Tie total amount realised was £12,580. Last year's total was £13,473 Bs. lid. 150 of the Scimitar's immigrants are to be forwarded to Southland, in answer to pressing requests from the Southland Immigration and Railway Committee. No fewer than eight of the Scimitar's immigrants figured at the Resident Magistrate's Court this morning on charges of drunkenness, obscene language, &c.
