ORDINATION OF PRIESTS.

{To tlie Editor.) Sir. — I went to the English Church last Sunday morning to hear Bishop Neville preach, and I was very well pleased with the sermon he gave. There was one thing in connection with the sermoa which was "new to me, viz., the Ordination part. AThen the Bishop and clergyman put their hands on Mr. Dewe, the Bishop said, in a very .solemn voice, "Whosesoever sins you remit, ,they are remitted ; and whosesoever sins. you retain they are retained. " Now, sir, I want to ask Bishop Neville one question, and-it is this : Does he believe in his heart that Mr. Dewe, or any oiher curate, can forgive sins ? or can he forgive sius himself ? because if he can, I have been brought up groa t i . ignorance. I Avas baptized by a Church of England clergyman and' confirmed by a Church of England Bishop, and brought up strictly in the faith of the Church of England, hut np to last Sunday I never knew that either Bishops or curates could forgive sins. If I had known that I most decidedly would not have carried such a' load about with me from day to day, and week to week, without trying to got some 61 them taken away. I hope Bishop Neville will give me a , decided answer to the above. By so doing he will ■naiicJi oblige.— Yours &c. Episcopalian.
