DISTRICT COURT, LAWRENCE.
(Before his Honor Judge Gray. Wednesday, 11th March.
Re Allan Mitchell, a bankrupt. — Mr. Gooday appeared for the bankrupt, who applied for his discharge. Mr. M'Coy appeared for the creditors. . The bankrupt was examined as to his accounts, and as to a list of liabilities laid before his creditors before filing, which was incorrect. This did not seem to be altogether the fault of the bankrupt, and eventually his Honor stated that he saw no reason to delay the order of discharge. Order granted. '
TnuRSDAY, 12th March. Re Duncan M'Rae. — The bankrupt, by Mr. M'Coy, his solicitor, applied for his discharge. Mr. Mouat opposed on behalf of the creditors. The bankrupt had been examined at previous sittings of the Court, the trustee then reporting unfavorably, the granting of his order was delayed, and made contingent on his assisting the trustee to realise the estate. He had, done nothing in this direction, but on the other hand the trustee had not moved in the matter either. There was no further report, furnished, and his Honor said ' that' under the circumstances lie must adjourn the matter to next sitting. The Court .then adjourned till Saturday (to-day).
