LAWRENCE HANDICAP, of 70 soys., with a sweepstake of 2 guinea* ; the second horse to receive amount of sweepstake. Nomination, with 1 guinea enclosed, to be received by the Secretary up to 8 o'clock p.m. on Tuesday, the 10th February. Weights to be declared in the Tttapeka Times of the 11th, the " Otago Daily Times " of. the 12th, and " Southern Mercury " of • the 14th February. Acceptances, with 2 guineas, together with sweepstake of 2 guineas, to be received by the Secretary before 8 o'clock on Tuesday evening, February 17th, 1874. Distance, U mile. DISTRICT HANDICAP CUP. of 25 soys.; entrance, 305.; twice round the course ; horses to be bonafide property of ownors 2 months prior to date of races, and residing within 20 miles of Lawrence. FLYING HANDICAP, of 40 soys. Nominations, with 2 guineas entrance fee, receivable up to 9 o'clock p.m. on Wednesday, 18th February, 1874. Distance, 1 mile. SECOND DAY. HANDICAP HURDLE RACE, of 40 soys.; heats ; one mile and a distance ; over four flight of hurdles, 3ft. 6in. high. Nominations, 1 guinea; acceptance, 2 guineas. Nomination and acceptance to be received the same date as Lawrence and Publicans' Handicaps. TUAPEKA JOCKEY CLUB HANDICAP, of 100 soys., with a sweepstake of 2 guineas added ; the amount accruing from BTvoep to to the second horse. Nominations, with two guineas, receivable up to 8 o'clock p.m. on the 19th February ; and acceptance, with 3 guineas, to 10 o'clock p m. on same evening ; distance, 2 miles. HACK RACE of 20 soys. ; 1 mile heats ; confined to horses being the bona fide property of the person entering same at least one month prior to the 20th February', 1873, and residing within 20 miles of Lawrence. No weight under lOst; entrance, 30s. PUBLICANS' HANDICAP of 45 soys.; distance, If mile. Nominations, with 1 guinea enclosed, to be received up to 9 o'clock p.m. on Tuesday, the 10(h February, 1874. Weights to be declared in Ttupeka Times of the 11th, in the '.' Otago Daily Times " of the 12th, and the "Southern Mercury" oi the 14th February. Acceptance, with two guineas enclosed, to be received by the Secretary before 10 p.m. on Tuesday, 17th February. (The winner of the Lawrence Handicap to carry 71b penalty in this race.) CONSOLATION HANDICAP of 25 soys. ; for all beaten horses ; distance, 1£ mile ; entrance, £1 10s. RULES AND REGULATIONS. Mares and geldings allowed 3lbs. All' disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by the Stewards, or whoever they may appoint. Their decision upon all points connected with the carrying out of the programme shall be final. No person shall be allowed to enter or run a horse for any race in this Programme (post entry races excepted) unless the latter be qualified as the bona fide properly of a subscriber to the Race Fund of not less than two guineas. ■^Entries to be received by the Secretary, at his office, up to nine p.m. on Wednesday, 18th February. Entrance money, enclosed with name, age, and pedigree (if any) of the horse and name of owner and colors of the rider. Any Jockey riding except in the colors entered will be fined £2. Five per cent, will be deductad from the gross amount of all stakes, for expenses. Horses walking over will receive 50 per cent, of the stakes. awThe Dunstan Jockey Club Rules will be strictly enforced. Parties entering protests will require to deposit one guinea.
