Weight, STEPHExdoir; and Co 1 . report for the week ending. 24th January as follows : — Fat Cattlk. — The' "large number that came forward (132 head) was beyond^ the requirements of the trade; and a good'uhany in consequence were turded out.tinsold. We sold oil account df Messrs. Ledingham, Gibson, and Lindsay Bros., 45 head at from £4 15s to £6 10s. for cows, and £5 15s. to £7 ss. for bulldcks, equal to 20a per 1001 b. for good quality, and i7s. fur middling ditto. Fat Sheep. — 1,150 were penned. We sold 350 merino wethers, fair quality; at 8s 6d. ; 50 merino ewes, at 6s. 6d.; 560 crossbreeds, good quality, at form its. 9\d to 13s. 9d. We also sold privately 650 cross-breds at lls., and 350 merino wethers at 2d. per lb. We quote crbss-bree'ds 2| per lb. ; merinoes, 2d. Fat Lam6S:— An unusually large number, came forward. 400 were penned, of which we sold 220 at from 6s. 6d. to lls. 6d., and 100 were turned out unsold. Store Cattle* — No transactions. Stobe Sheep. — There is a good demand for all classes and more particularly for crcissbreds. We quote cross-bred wethers, Bs. ; ditto ewes, 10s. ; merino wethers, 6s. ; ditto ewes, 4-and6-tooth, 75. ; ditto full-mouthed, 3s. 6d to ss. Horses.— Heavy' draughts and gdo'd strong light harness horses are in request, but light aud inferior animals are dull of sale. We quote first class draughts, £50 to £65 ; medium ditto, £30 to £40 , good hacks and light harness horses, £20 to £25 ; medium ditto, £12 to £15, ; lighjb and inferior, £3 to £7. Wool. — The news of the home market received by the Albion was limited to " Wool firm," which must be taken as satisfactory. We hold out next sale of wool on Thursday next. Sheepskins. — There was a good attend dance at our sale on Wednesday, and prices obtained were fully equal to those of last sale. We disposed of 1,200 as follow — Half-breds, ss. sd. to 65.; merinoes, 4s.JJd. ; station skins, 2s. 9d. to ss. i^d:; pelts, 6d. to 13d.' , . . Hides. — We disposed of 150 light and medium weights as follow : — Light weights 16s. to 175. ; medium ditto, 17s. 6d. to 19s. each. Grain.— We have no change to report j Wheat continues in fair demand at 4s. 6d. for good samples, and 4s. to 4s, 3d. for medium do. Oats are in fair request for local consumption at 3s. 9d. to 4s. for feed and milling samples.
