BLUE SPUR WESLEYAN SUNDAY SCHOOL PIC-NIC. ( To the Editor. ) Sir, — I see in your Blue Spur correspondent's letter of Saturday, the 10th instant, it is stated that the children of Presbyterian and other denominations were prohibited from our gathering at the pic-nic on New Year's Day at the Spur. I beg to contradict that assertion. If they were prohibited it was by their own people, and not by the Wesleyans ; and I wish to inform our friends that the teachers of the Wesleyan Sabbath School provided for 120 children, and fully expected that number to the pic-nic — our own school numbering only 62. Presbyterian and Church of England children came and walked in procession with us to the pic-nic ground, and were made welcome. Children from Lawrence, Wctheratones, and Evans Flat came and enjoyed themselves with us. All the children took tea together in one circle, and no distinction was made. When they were all satisfied with thr good things provided, the teachers made fresh tea and invited all in the paddock to come and join with them in such as they had, and many came and enjoyed themselves. Provisions and tea were also carried to those who did not join with the teachers and other friends. I hope the above remarks will be received in the same spirit *s they are written, without prejudice or ill will. I trust-, Mr. Editor, I have not intruded too far on your valuable space. By laying the above before your readers, you will oblige, yourß, &c, W. H. Lvkb. Blue Spur, 14th January.
