LAWRENCE HANDICAP, of 70 soys., with a sweepstake of 2 guineas ; the second horse to receive amount of sweepstake. Nomination, with 1 guinea enclosed, to be received by the Secretary up to 8 o'clock p.m. on Tuesday, the 10th JTebrvuwy. "Weights to be declared in the Tuapbka Times of the 11th, and the "Otago Daily Times" of the 12th February. Acceptances, with 2 guineas, together with sweepstake of 2 guineas, to be received by the Secretary before 8 o'clock on Tuesday evening, February 17th, 1874. Distance, 1* mile. DISTRICT HANDICAP CUP. of 25 soys.; entrance, 305.; twice round the course ; horses to be bona fide property of owners 2 months prior to date of races, and residing within 20 miles of Lawrence. FLYING HANDICAP, of 40 soys. Nominations, with 2 guineas entrance fee, receivable up to 9 o'clock p.m. on Wednesday, 18fch February, 1874. Distance, 1 mile. SECOND DAY. HANDICAP HURDLE RACE, of 40 sovb.; heats; one mile and a distance; over four flight of hurdles, 3ft. 6in. high. Nominations, 1 guinea ; acceptance, 2 guineas. RULES AND REGULATIONS. Mares and geldings allowed 3lbs. All disputes, chums, and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by the Stewards, or whoever they may appoint. Their decision upon all points connected with the carrying out of the programme shall be final. No person Bhall be allowed to enter or run a horse for any race in this Programme (post entry races excepted) unless the hitter be qualified as the bona fide property of a subscriber to the Race Fund of not less than two guineas. Entries to be received by the Secretary, at his office, up to^nine p.m. on Wednesday, 18th .^February. Entrance money, enclosed with name, age, andDedigree (if any) of thehorse, and name of owner and colors of the rider. Any Jockey riding except in the colors entered will be fined £2. Five per cent, will be deductad from the gross amount of all stakes, for expenses. Horses walking over will receive 50 per cent, of the stakes. The Dunstan Jockey Club Rules will be strictly enforced. Parties entering protests will require to deposit one guinea. If protests should be sustained, the guinea to- be returned. WM.
