TUAI EKA GOLDFIELD. Application for an Agricultural Lease. I HEREBY give notice that I have applied to the Warden for a lease of unsurveyed land for agricultural purposes, situate at and being section 57, block VI , Tuapeka West, comprising acres, or thereabouts ; and that the said application will be heard at the Warden's Office, Lawrence, on January 28. Persons objecting to the granting of such lease must lodge the same with the Warden before 24 hours of the day of hearing. JOHN ROSS.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION. IN conformity to the 29th section of tb» Goldfields Act, 1866, and to the Regulations made under that Act and the- Goldfields Acts Amendment Acts of 1867, JBGB, 1869, for the granting of leases, for gold mining purposes within the Province of Otago, it ia hereby notified tliat it is intended to grant a lease for -gold mining purposes of Crown. Lands to the applicant specified in the annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid objections against granting such lease. Objections to the granting of such lease, stating the grounds of objections, must be made in writing and lodged with the Warden at Lawrence on or before the 28th day of January, 1874.
