The Minister of Lands in Victoria recently forfeited the licenses of a number of squatters' runs on the ground of dummyism ; also several thousand acies of selected land.
A co-respondent writing from Okarito to the " Westport Times " says :—": — " There are a few stragglers occasionally coming up from the Haast ; but although they have left it the majority of them still believe that a Goldfield will be fouud in' that locality capable of supporting a large population.
