Jk ■ „ Celebrated Imported Pure Clydesdale X Entire Horse X V A N H O E , Will travel this season in the Mount Benger and surrounding districts, IvAFHQBis a dark bay, standing over 17 hands high, bred by the Puke of Hamilton, and imported direct from Scotland by the Hew Zealand Land Company, His sire, Sir Walter Scott, gained the first prize, at the Highland Agricultural Society s Show at Dumfries in 1860, the first prize in Glasgow iv ISGI , and at the Royal Agricultural Show, open to all Britain, held at Batteraeain 1862, he also took first honors. His dam, Maggy, gained the first prize as a three-year-old at the Highland Society's Show in 1862, and at the same show in the game year gained the second prize in the olass of all-aged mares, and the first prize as the best bred mare dt the same show in 1863. IvANfjoj: has an exoellent temper and mag. nificent action. Ho has shown himself a sure stook-getter, nearly all the mares served laat season naving proved in foal. Sir Colin s dam took first honors at Strath Bogie, and also at the Cuke of Richmond's show, in the latter case with foal at foot,, competing against all marea with or without foals, and was after, .wards imported' to Tasmania. Loan Paisley was bred by John Barr, Esq,, Clutha, and ia a beautiful black, rising 7 years old, and stands 16 hands a inobes high, Hia gire l Lard FaMey, waa imported from Scotland by Robert Miller, Esq., Taieri, in 1864. Dam, the mare Blanch, imported by David Nesbitt, Esq,, from Tasmania, who took the first prizes at several society's shows, viz., Dunedm, Taieri, Tokoiuairiro, and Clutha, for the best mare of symmetry in the yards. Lonp Paisley gained the first prise at the Clutha. Society's Show in 1868, and the first at Tokomairira Show the same year, for the beat three-.year*old entire colt at his age. He also obtained the silver medal at the Tokomairiro Show in 186.9 for the beat colonial horse in the yard j and has proved himself a suy© foal-getter.
