WHITE V. MACKELLAR.
(To the Editor.) Sib, — tjhave read over l!he evidence in the above case of a party who acknowledged- that he acted as arbitrator for.the Messrs. White under a strong bias in their favor, but who
said that he would do nothing but what was was right and honorable. The evidence of the above gentleman vras that "from an ordinary flock of sheep, properly managed, there ought to be on an average an increase of 25 per cent. lam allowing 10 per cent, for deaths." Now, in an ordinary flocWthere is one third of them breeding ewes, to the above statement, there would require to be an average increase of lambs from ewes of 105 per cent. I defy Baid gentleman to point out one run in New Zealand ~(let alone the disputed country) where tiie average per cent, is equal to the above. lam quite satisfied it is not under his management. — I am, &c., JtriTICIA.
