All horses within a radius of 25 miles are considered district horses. REGULATIONS. j - 1. No person shall be allowed to run or J enter a horse at these races unless he be qualified as a subscriber of not less than one guinea to the race fund. 2. No entries will be received for any of the above races except upon this condition, viz., that all disputes, claims, and objections shall be decided by the Stewards ; and their dcci- , sion on all points connected with the carrying out of this programme shall be final. 3. General entries to be sent in to the Secretary at Mr. T. Cornish's Roxburgh Ferry Hotel before 8 p.m. on Saturday, 27th December, 1873. 4. Jockey costume will be strictly enforced. Any jockey riding in false colors will be disqualified. 5. Five per cent, will be deducted from the gross amount for expenses. 6. In all races three horses to start, or no race. 7. The Dunstan Jockey Club Rules will be strictly enforced.' 8. Motie, with subscription money and acceptance fee, 55., on or before the 20th December, 1873. The ATHLETIC SPORTS consist of Men's Foot Races, Boy's Foot Races, Tilting, Hop, Step, and Jump, Quoits, &c. RULES. 1. That no publican's bid be accepted for a booth unless he first become a subscriber of £2 to the race funds. 2. That no person be entitled to enter a horse unless he first become « subscriber of £1 to the race funds. 3. Any person entering a horse beyond the specified distance, in any race, will not be entitled to prize money. 4. Any person entering a horse that has won over the specified prize in any race, will not be entitled to prize money. 5. Any protest to TO lodged with the Committee within ten minutes after competition. 6. Any person lodging a protest with th& Committee must deposit the sum of £1 before the case will be heard by the Committee. If the decision is given against the protest, the. deposit to be forfeited. 7. Any jockey found to be carrying light weight will not be entitled to prizemoney. 8.
