Pollard — £5 per ton. Chaff — £4 per ton. Hay — £7 per ton. Potatoes — £2 per ton. Carrots — £1. per ton. Turnips — ££ per ton. Wheat— ss. to os. 41. per bushel. Barley — 43. 6d. to 7s. per bushel. Oats — 4s. to Is. 3d. per bushel. Butter— 7d. to Bd. per lb. Cheese — 9J. per lb. Bacon, and hams — 9d. per lb. Messes. J. & A. Macleas report for week ending 4th December, as follows = — Fat Cattle. — The market was again fully supplied on Wednesday, 95 head being yarded, which caused a further reduction in prices, prime quality only averaging from 22s Gd to 25a ; medium quality, 17s Gd to 20s ; but we do not think prices will go much lower, aa holders of fat will not bring them forward while prices are so much on the decline. Twenty head of the above were turned out unsold. Fat Sheep. — Kine hundred were penned, botween 400 to 500 only being sold, which brought for shorn cro3s-breds 10s each ; do. merino, 7s 6A to 9s cadi. We quote prime quality crossbredd, shorn, at 21 to2ldper lb ; do. mermos, 2d. Fat Lambs are coming forward very siowly. "We sold a fesv nio.liuin quality on Wednesday at St. ci.-h. Store Cattle.— Croo.t quiet cattle are still inquired for at from £h 10j to £5 10a for good bullocks and steers, and from £3 10s to £4 for cows and heifers. We sold, at the Carriers' Arms Yards, fcj'iag Valley, on Wednesday last. 50 head, principally slores, a low head being medium fat, at piicos ranging from £2 10 to £7 per head, according to si/c and condition. Store Sheep. — On account of runhohlers and others being now busily engaged with shearing, there are not many lots changing hands, and we do not consider there will be much doing in this class of stock for the next month or" sis weeks, when by that) time holders will be better able to tell what number they will have to dispose of : likewise buyers of their requirements.
