Ihe ordinary weekly meeting of the Board w-iy held oa TUursday. All the members were pre-eut. The consideration of Mr. ]VI - Intyre's objections to sale of part of run 168 was aljoumed to a special meeting to be held this •clay. Mr. R. Bennett applied to purchase about four at res ol block 11., Teviot. The matter was referred to the District Land Officer. Mr. Thos. Murray applied to purchase sections 1, 2, 3, and 4, block 111., Tablo Hill. The application was refused.. on the ground that the land had *been withdrawn from sale, as it whr supposed to be auriferous. A • omplaint was received from Mr. Ar. Seville, chairman of a public meeting recently hpld at Beaumont, against Mr. R. Lancaster, for fencing in and ploughing up a mining reserve opposite his farm at Beaumont. The complai'it was referred to the Government for enquiry. Mr. A. J. Grant applied for permission to substitute for his application, a pre-emptive right on ruu 170, another application for 640 acres.
