QUARTZ REEFS.
(To the Mitor.) SlB, — About a month ago, while perusing your journal, I saw an account of a reef being struck in the Walsh's Gully tunnel. 1, for one congratulated the said company in realising the desired end. Since that, through tho same medium, I found, to my great astonishment, that what they struck is a seam of mullock and quartz intersected with mundic, which the manager of the Q-.Q-.Q.M. Co. Bays i« >n flireot opposition where he expects to find the reef. And here the matter dropped so far as any work being done. Now, I may state I have visited the tunnel, and have examined the same, and I am of opinion that it is a reef, and one worthy of trial. — I am, &c., PHIMP ÜbEN. Blue Spur, Nov. 27, 1873.
