His sire, Sir Walter Scott, gained the first prize at the Highland Agricultural Society's Show at Dumfries in 1860, the first prize in Glasgow in 1861 , ' and a.t the Royal Agricultural Show, p,pe.n tp all Britain, held at Batterseain 1862, he also took tirst honors.
