RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT, LAWRENCE.

Henry Yye appealed against the valuation of his property, section 6, bloak V., valuation, £25 per annum ; and his property in same place valued at £20 per annum. Appeal disallowed. • Michael O'Gormon, section 22, block XLII., valuation, £35 per annum. Appeal disallowed. Michael G'Gorman, section 11, block LX., valuation, £3 per annum. Appeal disallowed. J. W. Middlemiss, section 2 block XL-, valuation, £40 per annum ; section 9, block IV., valuation, £32 per annum ; sections 9 and 13, block XII.. valuation, £18. Theae three appeals were disallowed. C. W. Adams, section 11, block V.. valuation, £35 ; section 17, block VII., valuation, £35 ; section 18, block XXXIX., valuation, £3 ss. per annum. All the appeals of C. W. Adams, the last excepted, wero disallowed. In the latter case, the assessment was reduced to 30s. per annum. C. W. Adams, section 10, block V., assessed at £5 per annum. Appeal disallowed. C. W. Adamß, section 5, block V., assessed at £5 per annum. Appeal disallowed. A. Armstrong, lessee of section 1a and 2, block 1., assessed at £320. Reduced to £312. Charles Lindsay (per W. H. Coverlid), section 8, block Till., valuation, £35 per annum. Reduced to £25. C. Lindsay (por W. H. Coverlid), section 14, block XXV., valuation, £25. Reduced to £30. Several ratepayers who gave notice of appeal did not appear, and their cases were con-* sequcntly dismissed. The Court then adjourned.
