Mi- ABOzrinAiiD 3Joib, Manse-stroot, reports the following as the latest quotations ; — Flour— £l2 10s to £13 per ton. Oatmeal — £23 per ton. Pearl Barley — £30 per ton. Bran — £5 per ton. Pollard — £5 per ton. Chaff— £4 per ton. ' ' Hay — £7 per ton. Potatoes — £2 10s per ton. Carrots — £4- per ion. Turnips — £2 per ton. Wheat — sa. to ss. 4d. per bushel. Barley — Is. Gd. to 7s. per bushel. Oats— 4s. to 4a. 6d. per bushel. Butter— 7d. to Bd. por lb. Cheese— 9d. per lb. Bacon and hams — 9d. per lb. Messrs J. and A. Maciean report for the week ending 6th November, as follows :: — ■ Fat Cattle. — The market was fairly supplied on Wednesday, about 65 head being yarded, which Avcre sold at satisfactory prices, the bidding being very spirited for all the best pens ; the prices realised being fully 30s per lOOlhs for ilrsfc-class craality. We sold another draft, on account of Mr. George Nichol, from the farm o£ Donald Borrie, Esq., West Taieri, of very prime quality, which fetched — for bullocks, up to £17 ; and cows, up to £14. But we expect prices will be easier in a short time, as paddock-fed cattle -null como on quietly now, We quote really prime beef at 30s per lOOibs ; medium quality, <22s 6d to 25b. Fat Sheep. — 50 shorn cross-breds - were penned on Wednesday, which were Bold at 14s 6d each, or about equal to 2|d per lb. We qiiote prime half-breds, in wool, at 4d per lb ; merinos, 3|d to 3 id. Fat Lambs. — Only a few came forward on Wednesday, and wero sold at 12s 3d each. Storo Cattle, — Tliero ,i^ an increaeing' demand for good well-grown steere and heifers, which we quote at £4 15s to £5 5s for bullocks and steers, and £3 to £31 lus for cows arid heifers. ' Store Sheep. — During tho week we have placed several large lots, numbering about 16,500, for delivery after shearing, at satisfactory prices. We quote merino wethers, shorn, froto 4a 63. to 5e $ merino ewea, 2 and 4-tooth maidens, from 6s to 7s ; full to broken mouth, from 3s fro 4s ; cross bred Ifcrnbs, from 7s to Bs. Earns. — We have sold to the Barewpod Company 166 2- tooth American rainS, bred by G, L. Sise, Esq., of Puketaku, at a, high figure.' We have also placed several large lots under offer- from some of the best ftpeks in the Province. Horses. — During the week we have not. heard of imwiy draughts changing handsv but the demand for good saddle and harness horses is daily on the increase, which we- quote at for good buggy pairs, £45 to £60 ; first olass, saddlohorses, £25 to£3o j goodheavy draughts, £53 to £60 ; medium and inferior, £20 to £3S. Grain.- I—Th^ro1 — Th^ro ia a fair demand for. first class samples of wheat, which we quote at 5s 3d to 5s 6d ; medium qualities, 4s 2d to 4s 6d ; fowls' feed. 3s fid to 4s. Oats are in better demand, at for prime milling, 4s 3d to 4»_ 6d ; good feed, 4s 3i.
