The SuDerin\eß.dent has been advised from Wellington that the ship Lady Jooelyn sailed Irom, London for Otago in August 1 with 195 immigrants, equal to lUO£ statute adults ; the Otago on July 15 with 119£ statute adults. On the subject of coal miners for Otago, Mr Buller writes to Mr O'Rorke. *' Referring to your telegram, dated May 16, I have to transmit a nominal list of miners who proceed to Otago per ship. Lady Jocelyn direct, and per ship Helcu Denny, via Wellington, equal in number to 45 statute adults. The miners sent per Helen Denny are forwa.rded via Wellington, on account of their notice to leave their employers having expired about the Auguss I,- and they could not afford to d/elay their departure till the 27th in'stan^ on, which date the Zealandia is fixed, to sail direct for Otago. A further number of Welsh and Whitehaven miners are likely to follow in the Zealandia on the above date."
