WARDEN'S COURT, LAWRENCE.

(Before E. H. Carew, Esq., Warden.) Wednesday, 3rd September. The following applications for agricultural leases were granted, subject to the payment of the first half-year's rent : — David Foray th, section 25, block IIT., Waitahnna Rast ; John Doherty, section 7, block VI., Tuapeka East.; Henry Galbraith, section 4, block VI., Tuapeka East ; Walter Goodwin, section 31, block IV., Tuapeka East ; Joseph Goodwin, section 8, block 11., Table Hill. The following applications' were adjourned for one month for survey to be completed : — Andrew • Kay, section 23, block IV., Waitahuna East ; Adam Stevenson, section 36, block 1., Crookston ; John Doherty, section 60, block V., tuapeka East. H. and J. M'Cay's application for section 3, block IV., Waipori, was adjourned for one week The application of Daniel Stevenson for agricultural lease of section 42, block V., Tuapeka East, was objected to by the Waitahuna Miners' Association, and decision thereon was adjourned for one week, to enable the Warden to visit the ground. John M'Callum'g applicatii »n for section 84, block 11., Table Hill, objected to by Mills and others, was adjourned for one month, the Warden promising to visit the grouud. J. M. M'Rae applied for agricultural lease of section 10, block VL, Tn.ineka East, This was objected to by Alexander Fraser., and the application was withdrawn. The application of Robert Mills for I agricultural lease of s^cfi m 86, Block VI. t Table Hill, was objected to by M'Clnsky i and others : and refused on the ground j that the same section had heen previously [ leased to the present applicant, whose ; lease was afterwards cancelled, the sfroun'l having proved anriferou3, and hu having been paid £28 compensation Applicant to pay 40s costs of the objectors. I Thomas Spencer applied for r^sidenci area near Mr D >cherty's house. The application was objected to by P. Kane I and the certificate refused, the land bein [ surveyed for agricultural leasing. H. L. Squires and party applied for sixty days' protection for their claim in Gabriels Gully. Granted. [ J. M. M' liae applied- for agricultural lease of section 61, block V., T^iapeka East. Objected to by. A. Fraser, and adjourned to enable the Warden to visit the ground.
