RESIDENT MAGISTRATES' COURT, LAWRENCE.
Wednesday, June 25. (Before K. H. Carew, Esq., E.M.) Francisca Drury, charged with v%grancy, was discharged on her son promising that she should leave the district within 24 hours. Tuesday, July 1. (Before E. H. Carew, Esq., R.M.) F. 11. M'Cov, charged by the police with being drunk and disorderly on the previous night, was fined 205., and in default 24 hours imprisonment. The fine was paid. George Leslie, Waitalinna, charged with cruelty to animals, having worked h's horse when in an unlit state, through their shoulders being raw, was fined £3, and costs 6*3. Cd. ; in default, 14 days imprisonment. Bastings & Go. v. J. JETallUlaij. — Action for £29 12a. 7d. Adjourned to 11th July.
