MR. BEIGHTON AT SWITZERS.

On Tuesday night, 10th June, Mr. J. Beighton addressed a meeting of electors at the Crown Hotel, Switzers. There were upwards of 130 present. On the motion of Mr. Skene, Mr. J. "P. Dean whs voted to the chair. After Mr. Beighton addressed the meeting, a series of questions were submitted to him by Messrs. Shaw, Simpson, Utting, Skene, and others, which elicited answers of a satisfactory character ; and the meeting was closed by recording, on thß motion of Mr. Simpson, seconded by Mr. Shaw, a hearty and unanimous vote " That this mooting has every confidence in Mr. Beighton as a candidate for the representation of the Mount Benger district in the Provincial Council."
