DISTRICT COURT, LAWfiENCE. (Before His Honor Judge Gray). Tuesday, April 8. Casey v. Morrison and Co. This case was to have been tried at the December sittings, but the plaintiff having died a short time before the day it was set down for hearing, it was, at the req.iest of the plaintiff's "solicitor, Mr. Copland, adjourned. At the February sittings it was was again adjourned at Air. Copland's request. In the meantime, the property which belonged to plaintiff had been sold by the Curator of Intestate Estates. Mr. Coplandnowiutimated that no- havingboen instructed by the Curator he did not intend to proceed. Mr. Mouat, who appeared on behalf of defendants, gave notice that he would apply that the case be dis missed with costs against th 9 estate. ADJOURNED FINAL IIEARING. 2?e Alex Cormack. — At the instance of the creditors, Mossrs. G. Morrison, Alex. Humphrey, Thos. Barnett, and Edward Herbert were examined as to the bankrupt's transactions with each of them. It was elicited th.it some building materials to a small amount were supplied to the bankrupt's workmen after he had filed his declaration. Mr. M'Coy appeared for opposing; credit/ ra ; Mr. Mouat for bankrupt. The case was then adjourned to enable baukrupt to file a fuller statement. of accounts under rule 19;
