Nominations to be sent in to the Secretary on or before the 20 th February. Weights to be declared in the Tuapeka Times of the 27th February. Acceptances to be sent to the Secretary not later than 8 p.m., on the 12th March. LADIES' PUESE of 15 soys., with a sweepstake of 1 guinea added, to be given to the winning horse. Distance, 2| miles. Entrance, 1 guinea. Gentlemen riders. HACK RACE of 10 soys. Mile heats. The winning horse to be sold for £10 ; surplus, if any, to go to the race fund. No weight under 9st. Entrance 20s. Horses to be the bona fide property of residents in the district for at least 3 months previous to the 13th March, 1873, and residing within 10 miles of Switzers Post Office. Nomination, 1 guinea ; acceptance, 10s. Nominations to be sent in to the Secretary not later than 8 p.m. on the 12th of March. Weights declared at 9 p.m. on the 13th March. Acceptances to be sent to Secretary, at Crown Hotel, not later than 10 a.m. on the 14th March. CONSOLATION HANDICAP of 15 soys. ; for all beaten horses. Distance, l£ mile. Nomination, £1 ; acceptance, 10s. HURRY SCURRY HACK RACE of 5 soys.. Mile heats. Entrance, 10s.. RULES AND REGULATIONS. Mares and geldings allowed 31bs. All disputes, claims, {fend objections arising out of the facing, shall be decided by the Stewards, or whoever they may appoint. Their decision upon all points connected with the carrying out of the programme shall be final. No person shall be allowed to enter or run a horse for any race in this programme (post entry races Gxcapted)> unless the latter be qualified' as the bourn fide property of a subscriber to the race fund of not less than two guineas. Entries to be received by the Secretary, at the Crown Hotel, Switzers, not later than Bp.m. on Wednesday, 12th March. Entrance money, enclosed with name, age, and pedigree (if any) of the horse, and name of owner and colors of the rider.. Any Jockey riding except in the colors entered, will be fined £2; Five per cent, will be deducted from the gross amount of all stakes, for expenses. Hor3es walking over, will receive 50 per cent, of the stakes. The Dunedin Jockey Club) rules will be strictly enforced. Parties entering protests will require to deposit one guinea.
