SWITZERS HANDICAP of 30 soys., with a sweepstake of 2 guineas ; the amount accruing from sweepstake to be given to the second horse . Nomination, 305. ; acceptance, 1 guinea. Distance, l£ mile. Nominations to be sent in to the Secretary on or before the 20fch February. Weights to be declared in the Tuapeka. Times of the 27th February. Acceptances to be sent to the Secretary not later than 8 p.m., on the 12ch March. LADIES' PURSE of 15 soys., with a sweepstake of 1 guinea added, to be given to the winning horse. Distance, 2\ miles. Entrance, 1 guinea. ; Gentlemen riders. HACK RACE of 10 soys. Mile heats. The winning horse to be sold for £10 ; surplus, if any, to go to the race fund. No weight under 9st. Entrance 20s. Horses to be the bona fide property of residents in the district for at least 3 months previous to t&e 13th March, 1873!, and residing within 10 miles of Switaers Post Office. Nomination, 1 guinea ; acceptance, 10s. Nominations to be sent in to the Secretary ; not later than 8 p.m. on the 12th of March. Weights declared at 9 p.m. on the 13-th March. Acceptances to be sent to Secretary,, at Crown Hotel, not later than 10 a.ni. on the 14th I March. CONSOLATION HANDICAP of 15 soys. ; for all beaten horses. Distance, l£ mile. Nomination, £1 ; acceptance, 10s. HURRY SCURRY HACK RACE of 5 soys. Mile heats. Entrance, 10s. RULES AND REGULATIONS. '■ Mares and geldings, allowed 31bs. All disputes, claims,, and objections arising oat of the racing, shall be decided 'by the Stewards, or whoever they may appoint. Their decision upon all points connected with the carrying out of the programme shall be final. No person- shall be allowed to enter or run a horse, for any race in this programme (post entry races excapted), unless the latter be qualified as the bona fide property of a subscriber to the race fund of not less- than two- guineas. Entries to be received by the Secretary, at the Crown Hotel, Switaers, not later than 8 p.m. on Wednesday, 12th March. Entrance money, enclosed with name,, age, and pedigree (if any) of the horae, and name of owner and colors of the rider. Any Jockey riding except in the colors entered, will be fined £2. Five per cent^ will be deducted from the gross amount of ail stakes^ for expenses. Horses walking over, will receive 50 per cent, of the stakes. The Dimedin, Jockey Club rules will bestrictly enforced. Parties entering protests will require to deposit one guinea. If protest should bet sustained,, the guinea to be returned . WM.
