WARDEN'S COURT, LAWRENCE.

(Before Vincent Pyke, Esq., Warden.) Wednesday, February 5. Ah Low, Ah Hang, and Ah Shen were charged with cutting up the Gabriels road without the Warden's sanction. They were directed to remeve their dam forthwith, and to make tha roadway passable, and to pay costs, 11s. Subject thereto, they were allowed to continue their operations. The Gabriels Gully Quartz Mining Co. applied for permissioi to construct a race to carry the storm water from the Waipori races to the Phcenb dam, Mr. Mouat appeared on behalf of the Otago Co. The case had been adjourned from the previous week to allow applicants to survey the course o1 the proposed race After a discussion between the parties, the application was withdrawn ; and the G.G.Q.M.Co. intimated their intension to apply for an extertion of the Waipori races. The application o Donald J. M 'Donald for agricultural leases of sections 33, 38, 39, 43, 44, 45, 4i, and 49, block 11.,. Tuapeka East, wa< granted ; certificate to issue upon dediction of the area required for railway purposes. Archibald M'Khlay applied to lease sections 47, 182, and ]83, block 11. , Tuapeka East, fection 47 was refused, and the two latter granted ; certificate to issue upon deducton being made of the area required for Bilway purposes. Alexander M'lrtyre's application for an extended claim of me acre was granted.
