CABLE TELEGRAMS.
(From the " Daily Times.") London, January 11th. The ex-Emperor Louis Napoleon died on the 9th iust., after an operation of lithotomy had been performed. It is expected that the report on Marshal Bazaine will be against him. His trial has been postponed until the Germans evacuate France. The Customs difficulties still continue between France and Germany. The French Assembly are discussing a Bill to establish a Couucil of Education in France. A portion of the Adelaide loan has been taken up. The Bradford Chamber ef Commerce has reported favorably on Australian wools, and on the measures taken to prevent burr in wool. The Don, frigate, has been ordered to New Zealand. A Prussian flying squadron is ordered. January 12th. Tho Secretary to the British Embassy in St. Petersburg is now in London conferring with the Foreign Office relative to the Khiva question. Russia invites England to send two officers to watch the expedition. The relations between France and the Vatican .are uncertain. The debate on the subject has heen delayed, M. Eemusat being unwell. A new Auglo-French Treaty has been agreed upon.
