(From the " Daily Times.") Hokitika, January 12th. The Exhibition was closed lr^st night by Judge Harvey, in presence of a large audience, It has been open for 15 days, and proved a great success. January 13th. The Luna landed two passengers here to-day, and then passed on. She grounded in Milford Sound, and had to be lightened. When got off she was found to be uninjured. Tlie accident, however, caused two days' delay. Christohurch, January llth. After four hours' deliberation, the jury acquitted Payne, who was charged with sinking a lighter ac Lyttelton. Naseby, January llth. The first Chinese marriage in Naseby took place before the Registrar to-day, between Louis Gay Tan, Chinese storekeeper, and Emily Finch. Auckland, January 13th. The Rev. A. F. Porter lectures tomorrow night on the Martin's Bay settlement, of which he was one of the pioneers. The proceeds of the lectures will be devoted to the purchase of seeds and other help for the settlers there. Napier, January 13th. The cutter Margaret, of Napier, has been seen bottom upwards in Tologa Bay. All hands are supposed to be lost.
