THE VOLUNTEERS.
The final competition of the Oamaru Company for Provincial representatives at the Colonial prize-firing, took place at the company's range last Friday. The competition at the first stage took place on Thursday. The weather on both days was clear and bright, but the wind gusty. The scares in full were :—
Selby and King, having failed to secure the minimum of 70 points, 'are disqualified. The seven highest in these final competitions are the Provincial representatives. At present those who are entitled to rank in that category are— P. O. Wilson, P.C.N.8., 70 points; VoL Rule, Oamaru, 75.
