CONSOLATION HANDICAP of 30 soys-; for all beaten horipes; distance, l£ mile ; entrance, £1 10s. RULES AND REGULATIONS. Mares and geldings allowed 31bs. All disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by tbe Stewards, or whoever they may appoint. Their decision upon ail points connected with the carrying out of the programme shall be final. No person shall be allowed to enter or run a horse for any race in this Programme (post entry races excepted) unless the latter be qualified as the bona fide property of a subscriber to the Race Fund of not less than two guineas. Entries to be received by the Secretary, at his office, Peel-street, Lawrence, up to nine p.m. "on Wednesday, 2-lth January. Entrance money, -enclosed with name, age, and pedigree (if any) of the horse, and name of owner and colours of the rider. Any Jockey riding except in the colours entered will be fined £2: Five percent, will be deducted from the gross amount of all stakes', for expenses. Horses walking over will icceive 50 per cent, of the stakes. The Tuapeka Jockey Club Rules will be strictly enforced. PaTties entering protests will require to deposit one guinea.
