Nancy was got by the celebrated Garvary Horse, and her dam by Scotsman, the property of James Kirkwoods, Kilmaurs. Nancy was first shown as a three year ©Id, and got first prize at Hamilton, first at Baillestoa, BQoond at Glasgow, and second at Kilbride. She was next shown as a brood mare at Glasgow and Kilbride, where she received similar honors. His sire is the well known imported horse Napoleon, whose Stock is not excelled in the province. ' Emperor is of great strength, and compactly built. He has proved himself a sure foal-getter, and his.S tock is of a superior description. Emperor was shown at Dunedin when a twoj-year-oid. when he received Becond prize as the best horse of any age, his sire being first ; a,nd first prize for the best two-year-*old.
