A CORRECTION.

Sir, — In your report of the proceedings of thft Mining Conference of Wednesday the 4th inst. , lam made to say that li the Warden, despite the protests of the miners, granted agricultural leases.'' What I said was that the Warden had been directly interested in an application for 100 acres of land, on the Switzers goklfield, which land was supposed to be auriferous. — Requesting the usual courtesy, I am, &c, R.Shaw.
