WAPORI MINERS' ASSOCIATION.

This body held their usual monthly meeting on the 7th inst. Present — Mr. S. Caudwell Cm the chair).

The business done was merely formal. In the absence of the Secretary and the books, Mr. Vivian was appointed Secretary pro tern. The chairman explained to the meeting the position in which he stood in reference to the nonappearanee of the delegate appointed at last meeting. On the motion of Mr. Blackmore, seconded by Mr. Butterworth, the Committee unanimously approved of the prompt action taken by the chairman in representing this association at the Miners' Conference, now sitting at Lawrence. The chairman thanked the members present for the confidence shown in him, and intimated that at the close of the Conference he would call a special meeting, and lay the report before them. The meeting then adjourned.
