All the way along its course it will command an extensive area of well-known auriferous country. The first right" to twehty-fonr heads of water has been secured by the present proprietors. A promising quartz reef lifts been discovered on the line of the race, .which' will render the property additionally valuable. ; Upwards of £800 has already been expended on the works. , . ■ . '_; ; .. The Race has been levelled throughout, and the General Government has granted the Proprietors a subsidy of £2000 under the- Public Works Act, 18/0. " The Proprietors retain 2000 paid up Shares, 2000 will be offered to the public, and the remaining 2000 will be retained for distribution' among the shareholders. , - - . •• i The sum of one shilling per share to be paid on application ; 2s. 6d. on allotment ; and the remaining 16s. 6d. in calls periodically as funds may be required ; and no call. to exceed 2s. 6d. a month.
