TUAPEKA COMMON AGE.
The following is a list of licenses granted for the depasturing of stock in the Tuapeka, Waipori, Tuapeka Mouth, and Table Hill districts .—
A Bald Hill correspondent writes : — A grand ball and supper has been given by Mr. Hugh Crossan, wbo bas lately purchased the J3pe.ar Grass Flat Hotel. It gave great satisfaction, to all visitors, and wound up with a well contested horse race between Crossan and Gorden. the former being the winner. The Gorge Creek
Race is progressing fast. The flaming will be completed in about three weeks. This will allow the water to pas« Coal Creek, and shortly after Christmas, t&e precious fluid wilT bo into *the Spear Grass Flat.
