The '^^^^^M ■ Clydesdale Entire Horse LORD PAISLEY ITTTILL Travel this Season in the TuaYV peka, Waitahuna, and Beaumont Districts, commencing on the Ist October; calling at Tuckey's Stables, Tuapeka ; Dale's, Waitahuna ; and li.- Lancaster's, Beaumont, weekly. There will be an Accommodation Paddock at Crookston Hotel, Beaumont, for mares, at one shilling per week during the seasori, for each mare. All care taken, but no responsibility. Lord Paisley was bred by John Barr, Esq., Clutha, and ia a beautiful black, rising six years old, and stands 16 hands 2 inches high. His sire, Lord Paisley, was imported by R. Miller, Esq., Taieri, I 18G4. Dam, the mare Blanch, imported by David Wishart, Esq., from Tasmania, took the first prizes at several society shows, viz., Dunedin, Taieri, Tokomairiro, and Clutha for the best mare of symmetry in the yards. Lord Paisley gained the first priz* at the Clutha Society Show, in 1868, and the first at Tokomairiro the same year, for the best" three year old entire colt at his age. He also obtained the silver medal at Tokomairiro Show , in 1869, for the beat colonial hoiae in the yard, and has proved himself a sure foal-getter. Young Glasgow Geordy is 3 years old, stands 16 hands Sin. high, is a bright bay, with black points, has a beautiful flat bone, and is of immense strength. He is out of the imported Clydesdale mare Young Pride, imported from Tasmania, the property of Philip Mylrea, Esq. Glasgow Geordie, his sire, was bred by Mr. Andrew Warnock, Bearyards, Bishopbriggs, near Glasgow, out of his prize mare Maggie, whose stock have all been prize-takers at cattle shows in and around Glasgow, and have all sold at high prices. His sire was • the well-known horse Champion, "who was bred by Mr. Fleming, Auchenbowie, Kilmacombe, out of a celebrated prize mare. He gained prizes as a colt at almost every show in Lanarkshire. When four years old he gained the first prize of £40 and a silver medal at Glasgow, where 28 horses competed ; when five years old he gained the first prize of £40 and a medal at Gatehouse, O'Fleet ; also the same year he gained the tirst prize -of £30 at the Highland Society's Show, Dumfries ; when six years old he gained the first prize of £40 and medal at Gatehouse; O'Fleet ; when seven years old he gained the first prize of £40 at Glasgow ; and same year he gained tue medium; g9lcL -mectal at the Highland Society's" Show at Kelso, being then outlawed from other than extra stock ; also, first prize of £50 at CarlishVand second at the Great International Exhibition, London, in the year 1862 ; thus leaving him to be descended from the best blood in the kingdom.
