BANK OF NEW 2JEALAND, WILLIAM HAVES, Accountant, Lawrence. rpHIS Company is formed for the purpose of constructing a Water Race to oonvey water from the Beaumont River to the J- banks of the Tuapeka River (a distance of about thirty miles). All the way along^its course it will command an extensive area of well-known auriferous country. The first right to twenty-four heads of water has been secured by the present proprietors. A promising quartz reef has been discovered on the line of the race, which will render the property additionally valuable. Upwards of £800 has already been expended on the works. The Race has been levelled throughout, and the General Government has granted the Proprietors a subsidy of £2000 under the Public Works Act, 1870. The Proprietors retain 2000 paid up Shares, 2000 will be offered to the publio, and the remaining 2000 will be retained for distribution among the shareholders. The sum of one shilling per share to be paid on application ; 2s. 6d. on allotment ; and the remaining 16s. 6d. in calls periodically as funds may be required ; and no call to exceed 2s. 6d. a month. The Share List will be kept open until Tuesday, December 31, 1872. Immediately after the allotment a speoial meeting Will be held for the purpose of electing Directors, and making other arrangements for the proper management of the Company.
