. : The anniversary of the Coal Creek Flat Church was celebrated last week. ' Two sermons were preached fry the Rev, H. Bull on the Sunday, to a large congregation; and a numerously attended soiree took place on the following Tuesday. About 120 * sat down at ti.e tables, which had been

jMwided with excellent taste by Mr. John Glass, and presided over by the Misses.. Tamblyn. Bennetts, Broad, and' IVJarten. The speeches were brief, appropriate, and-- well received by the audience. Mr. John Tamblyn, after having r.ead the fiuancial stateraeut, which showed the church to be free of debt, • spoke upon the beneficent design of the Gospel ; Mr. Watson, upon Christian beneficene; Mr. James, upon Christian profession ; Mr. Bloxhain, upon t]ie results

of pin ; Mr. Bull, upon Biblical evidences ; and Mr. Beck, upon Christian usefulness. The Trustees have .generously promised to hand over the entire proceeds of the anniversary services to the fund for carrying on the Circuit fyork.
