(To the Editor. )
Sih, — I cordially approve of the suggestion contained in your leading arti^^jf the 11th ult. It is time now for^H| people of Mount Benger to take^Brgetic steps to prevent being evicr^B Constitutional means by petit^B and otherwise have been tried, and f^pnd useless. It is evident that it is no use attempting to reason with the Provincial Government. The only course left open for the Mount Bengerites is to prevent by force the plunder of their district. The sale of the 20,000 acres of land to Messrs. Cargill and Anderson has already been made — the proceedings before the Waste Lands Board are mere humbug, intended to throw dust in the eyes of the. people. It is time for action — prompt, decisive action. The misgovernment of the Provincial authorities is sure sooner or later to cause a popular rising. It is better that resistance should be made before the country is utterly ruined. Verbum sap. — I am, &., Aux Armes Citoyests. Mount Benger, 12th July.
