This Society has been formed by an alteration of the Constitution rf the Second NewZealand Building and Mutual Investment Society, 180 ±. The moneys of the First and Second Series are advanced to Shareholders on mortgage of freehold or leasehold properties, or upon Shares in tho Society wholly or in part paid up. The amounts available for advance are sold by auction at the monthly meetings to the highest bidder, who, from the date of tho advauce, pays a redemption fee of 10s. per month for each L6O Share advanced until the termination of the Series. Moneys of the* Permanent Series are lent on similar securities, repayable by mouthly instalments extending over a fixed number of years.
