To the Warden, Lawrence, j SIR, — I have paid to the District Surveyor the sun roquired for the Survey of the following Gold Mining Lease Application, June 20th, 1872, as required ; by the Mining Leases Regulations of Otago, and I agree, upon the approval of this Application, I will execute a Lease upon the bases therein stated, if the Governor or his Delegate shall think fit to grant the same. — I have the honour to be, &c, THOS. F. MORRIS. Name and address in full of Applicant. — Thomas Francis Morris, Blue Spur. Style under which it is intended to condnct the business. — The Great United Quartz Mining Company. Extent of Land applied for. — Six Acres, more or less. Minimum number of men to be employed by the Lessee. — For the first three months 2 men ; subsequently, when in f'lll work, 6 men. Amount of capital r oposed to be -'invested.— £3ooo. Proposed mode of working the land. By raising Quartz, and crushing the same by machinery. Precise locality.— On the spur on the eastern side of Gabriels Gully, and adjoining the western boundary of Mark & Co.'s prospecting claim. Term for which lease required. — Fifteen years. Time of commencing operations. — On the execution of the lease. The above application and any objection thereto will be heard before me, at Lawrence, on the 17th July, 1872. Any person desiring to object to the issue of a Mining Lease upon the above application must, within 20 clear days from the date of such application, enter his objection at my office. " ' " H. J.
