(Before His Honour Judge Gray.) Tuesday, 11th June.

Swanr. Barber.— Claim for £42, balance of bill and interest. Mr. Mourt appeared for plaintiff. Defendant did not appear. John Swan testified to the authenticity of the bill and the signature thereto. He left the same in the Bank of New Zealand, Lawrence, for collection. The bill was sent to plaintiff from Hokitika ; place .of payment, Lawrence. Judgment was given for £41 10s. f with costs, £4 195., and £2. plaintiff's expenses. Morrison v. Pepperdl. — Claim for £81 11s., balance of account for goods delivered. Mr. Mouat appeared for plaintiff. , Defendant did not appear.- The debt was proved by plaintiff, and judgment was given for amount, with costs, 305., and professional fee, £4.

In Bankruptcy.

Mr. Monat applied for a certificate for Grant, of Pullar and Grant, These two parties had been jointly baukrupts, and Grant's certificate had not (by mistake) been asked for when PulJar got his certificate. — Granted.

In re George Young. — Mr. Monat, instructed by Mr. Copland, asked that the case might be adjourned till next sitting of the Court. — Granted.
