June 6th.

The barque Hydra, for Newcastle, in ballast, was this morning towed to sea by the p s (>( > celong. The schooner Janet Ramsay failed for Hokitika last evening. The brigantine Parana, with a cargo of sugars, consigned to Messrs Dal gety, Nichols, and Co., arrived at a discharging berth this forenoon.

The s s Eangitoto, from Northern ports, arrived at \ p.m. to-day. The passenger list includes Sergeant Heasjey and a detachment of twelve mounted constabu'ary, who were conveyed to Dunedin by the p s Golden Age at 2 p m. The barque P.C.E., for Newcastle, and the brig Our Hope, for Oamaru, were this afternoon tolled out to sea by the p s Geelong.
