DETENTION OF THE SAN FRANCISCO MAIL.

Messrs Driver, Stewart, and Co., agents for the San Francisco mail steamers, inform us that they have received a telegram via Suez, informing them that the steamer leaving San Francisco on 27th March, returned to that port the following day, having met with an accident to her machinery ; and it was thought she would be able to sail again 6th April. As this is the boat that should have met the Nebraska at Honolulu, jt is supposed that the latter vessel has waited her arrival, and may now be hourly expected at Auckland. — Star, May 11.
