BLUE SPUR.
(From our Mining Correspondent.).
March 26th.
Mining matters on the Spur continue favourable, but should the present dry weather continue, we will soon be at a stand-still, as the supply of water is dry-ing-up rapidly. Messrs. Livingston and Co. and the Nelson Co. have been wash-ing-down. The Perseverance Co. arc driving for a blast. The Rip and Tear Co. have had a washing-down, and are now contemplating a reconstruction of their party, with a view to the better working of their claim. They have found other good things can be spoiled as well as broth by too many cooks. On the reef matters are rather droary. With the exception of Clayton and Co. and Kitto and Co., there are no parties at work, of those parties have succeeped in striking stone as yet. The prospectors have disposed of all the shares they offered for sale, and accepted a contract for the erection, of machinery. When it is erected, no doubt the music from the stampers will put some life into our desponding reefers.
