(Before Vincent Pyke, Esq., R.M.) Thursday. 7th March, M'Coy v. Lett. — Summons not served. Herbert <& Go. v. Brough (Dunstan). — Claim, £L1 17s. 6d. Defendant did not put in an appearance, but lodged in Court a set-off for legal services rendered. The plaintiffs objected, on the ground that the charges were outrageous. — Adjourned for three weeks.

Monday, 11th March.

Ploice v. Henderson and Pine. — Mr. M'Coy for Pine, and Mr. Gooday for Henderson. Mr. M'Ooy asked for an adjournment, on the ground that it would be dangerous for Pine to leave his bed, as he was suffering from erysipelas in the face. A medical certificate to that effect was produced. — Adjourned for seven days.

Police v. Pine, under the Vagrant Act. Adjourned. Henderson v. Pine, and Pine v. Henderson. —Adjourned for seven days.

A new National Federation, on the Communist basis, ,is organising in Paris.

A Maryland paper improves upon the usual style of death notices by recording that an infant was " born into the order of fallen nature, Dec. 30th, 1859; into the supernatural sphere of redeeming grace, April 27th, 1870 ; and into the kingdom of the everlasting, July 6th. 1871."
