Entrance, one soy. ; weight for age ; distance, one mile and a half. BEAUMONT HANDICAP, of 20 soys., with a sweepstake of one guinea. Nominations, with one guinea enclosed, to be received by the Secretary up to 9 o'clock on Monday, llth March, 1872. Weights to be dechired in the Tuapeka Times of 14th March. Acceptances, with one guinea, together with sweepstake of one guinea, to be received by the Secretary before 9 p.m. on Monday, 18th March. Distance, 2 miles. HURDLE RACE, of 15 soys. ; open to all horses ; entrance, one guinea ; distance, 2 miles ; weight for age. HANDICAP TROTTING RACE, of 10 soys. ; entrance, one guinea ; distance, 3 miles. HACK RACE, of 6 soys.; for all horses that never won public money ; entrance, 10s. ; one mile heats ; weight for age.
RULES. 1. The decision of the Stewards in all cases to be final. No entries received except on this condition. 2. No person to enter a horse unless a subscriber of one guinea to the race fund. 3. General entries to be made to the Secretary or Stewards on Monday, 18th March, at Crookston Hotel, at or before eight o'clock. 4. The rules of the Tuapeka Jockey Club strictly adhered to. 5. Three horses to start, or no race. 6. Five per cent, will be deducted from the gross amount of prizes for expenses. 7. Correct Jockey costume insisted upon, and a fine of one guinea will be enforced for coming to the scales or riding in wrong colours. TO QUARTZ AIINERS.
