The Little Hartley Mare was by Barlot's Childers (own brother to Flying Childers), out of Large Hartley Mare, whose pedigree in three generations can be ti'iiced to a royal mare. The Provost, the sire of A badallah, was by The Saddler, out of Rebecca by Lotery ; her dam by Cervantes, out of Antiception ; mai-e of her dam by Benningbrook (Benningbrook by King Fergus, a gon of Eclipse.)
