Extent of land applied for — 400 yards by 260 yards. Minimum number of men to be employed by the Lessee — For the first three months, two men; subsequently when in full work, eight men. Amount of capital proposed to be invested —Eight Thousand Pounds (£8000.) Proposed mode of working the land -By sinking, tunnelling, driving, and crushing the quartz by machinery. Precise locality — At the head of Gabriels Gully, east side, behind the lesidence of Mrs. Taylor, and adjoining the application of Peter Speirs, on the north side. Terms for which lease required — Fifteen years, at £2 10s. per acre per annum. Time for commencing operations — Immediately on obtaining certificate. The above application, and any objection thereto, wLI be heard before the Warden, at Lawrence, on the 7th day of Februaiy, 1872. Any person desiring to object to the granting of a mining lease upon the said application, must, within 31 days from the date of the said application lodge his objection at my office at Lawrence. W.
